We were commissioned to renovate the interiors of a 240 m² former barn, with the aim of preserving its original architectural identity. The project stems from the desire to create a residence that stands out within the landscape of Cortina d’Ampezzo, combining elegance, contemporary comfort, and an authentic Alpine character.

The result takes shape through a thorough and articulated intervention that enhances the building’s structural lines, making them the true protagonists of the design. The careful selection of natural materials and high-end finishes elevates each space, framing the openings and guiding the eye toward the unique landscape of the Dolomites. The double-sided sofa becomes the focal point of the living area, encouraging conviviality around the fireplace without compromising the panoramic view. The project is completed by two social areas located within the dormers, conceived as spaces for sharing and gathering, where one can rediscover the pleasure of traditional board games typical of Cortina.
